1953 Chevrolet 3100 Pickup for sale built in Fremont, California. This great, old Chevy truck was restored by its previous Los Angeles owner between 2001-2002 then purchased by its most current owner in 2005. It has traveled approximately 3,000 since its restoration and has been garaged and maintained as needed.
The rebuilt 235ci engine starts up and runs well with plenty of power. It is quiet, smooth and burns clean. The 4-speed manual transmission was also rebuilt and shifts smoothly through all of the gears. It had a recent tune-up just over 200 miles ago with a new coil, plugs, etc. It has a Pertronix ignition for added reliability.
All of the ancillary items function well; brakes, suspension, clutch, water pump, 12-volt alternator/charging system are in good, working order and should provide many years and miles of service.
The exterior still looks nice, the paint has a good shine and the chrome still is brilliant. It has clear glass, good seals and trim. Though the wood is due for a coat of clear, an easy and fun weekend project. The wood sides are easily removable if one prefers.
The interior is super comfortable and nicely insulated. Everything is in good working order including new emergency brake, horn, radio, heater, wipers, gauges, etc. It seems to be nicely insulated making for a more relaxing ride.
This special old vintage truck includes a good amount of photos during and after the restoration as well as some records and a manual. Thanks for looking!
