Striking 1955 Chevrolet Belair Coupe for sale. Started as a 210 post with all proper Belair trim added. California car with same owner for over two decades. Restored several years ago and used lightly yet regularly. Properly stored and cared for, This '55 Tri-Five is one of the nicer ones I've seen.
Beautiful paint, finished in Canary yellow with pearlescent white with a razor straight body and excellent panel alignments. Painted several years ago at a cost of nearly $10,000 and it shows having held up beautifully and still looking fresh. Finished trunk with solid, clean floors. Chrome, glass and rubber in good condition. Professionally re-assembled after restoration so everything fits nicely and works properly.
The interior is extremely comfortable with nice, high quality upholstery and plenty of insulation keeping it quiet and comfortable for even the longest drives. All accessories and options are in working order with exception of the right, rear power window which is not operational at this time, however we will take a look at this. Otherwise, all gauges, lights and switches are in great working order.
The car starts; runs and drives beautifully. The 454ci was rebuilt less than 1,000 miles ago, runs as smooth as ever and has plenty of power. The highway gearing makes it very comfortable on long, freeway speed drives and the rebuilt TH350 automatic transmission shifts flawlessly through all of the gears. Power steering and power brakes with discs upfront make handling easy as ever. The exhaust is throaty and stout and sounds just right. It rides on classic, polished American Racing Rims with 215/65-15's upfront and 255/60-15's in the rear. Inside it is nicely setup with a great sounding stereo system, power windows and full instrumentation including speedo, RMP's, volt, temperature, fuel and oil pressure. The heating system works well and of course there is plenty of room to add an aftermarket A/C system if so desired.
