What a Wonderful Original 1956 Ford Thunderbird for Sale

Lovely 1956 Ford Thunderbird for sale. This pretty, old Thunderbird sold new in California, later living in Arizona for many years before returning to California again in 2015. It was built in June of 1956 for the San Jose, California sales office and is finished in all of its original colors, Raven Black with black and white interior and a black canvas top.

It is equipped with the 312ci Fordomatic 225HP engine, power steering, both hard and soft tops, engine dress-up kit and an aftermarket ice-cold air conditioning unit.

The 312 cubic inch V8 starts and runs very nicely with plenty of power. The Ford-o-Matic shifts smoothly through all of the gears and the brakes, steering and suspension feel good. All in all, it is a very nice driving car that seems to have been nicely cared for over the years. Due to the age of this thunderbird expect some damp seals.

The body is straight and rust-free with good panel fitment all around. The older Raven black paint looks nice and presentable with a nice shine. The top, trim, chrome and glass look great as well. It has a newer, very nice cloth top. The original undercarriage is exceptionally sound and rust-free as well. Overall this is a very nice looking Thunderbird.

The inside of the car is quite clean and comfortable with nice seating and carpets. It looks to still have its original door panels and headliner on the hardtop.

All of the gauges and accessories are in working order except for the clock. The modern aftermarket air conditioning blows ice cold. It is a very comfortable car for long drives or around town.
