This is a classic 1957 Ford Thunderbird. It includes the removable hardtop finished in off-white as well as a very nice, newer high quality, black cloth convertible soft-top. Current owner over 20 years.
Paint stripped to bare metal in 1997 and repainted coral. Believed to have originally been Raven Black. Has the 292ci engine. It was Re-upholstered when painted. About 4000-5000 miles have been put on the car since completion. Car includes both fender skirts and the optional power seat. In 2000 a valve job was done to facilitate the use of unleaded fuel.
It has new tires and battery as well. The engine runs beautifully and the car shifts, brakes and handles superbly. It has not been used much in recent years and the time has come to find its new owner.
This Ford Thunderbird has normal wear and tear but still looks very nice. The car is well sorted with a few items needing attention: Parking brake needs connecting (parts included), radio was bypassed to facilitate a newer radio (which has since been removed), heater switch on dash needs replacing and the bright switch needs replacing. Also, the power seat switches "up/down" feature does not always work.
