This is a very lovely 1957 Cadillac Coupe De Ville. It was purchased new in 1957 in the San Francisco area and traded in just two years later to the same dealer.
Its second owner, Mr. Uhrhammer, owned the car until passing it along to his nephew in 1984. His nephew has owned it since. This car has never spent a night outside since 1959. It has been beautifully cared for and is rust-free. The car was repainted the original color in the early 1980's and shows well.
At that time the front seats were redone and the engine and transmission were rebuilt. The car has seen about 24,000 miles since all of this work was completed.
The nephew recently did a cosmetic restoration of the engine compartment so it looks very nice. The interior still sports the original panels, headliner, chrome and gauges. The trunk is 100% solid and all original except for some carpet that the uncle added years ago. The jack and spare are present. There are a few imperfections around the car however it still looks fantastic.
Be sure to see the close-up gallery following these initial photos for an additional 300 pictures that should answer most if not all of your questions. The car starts; runs and drives beautifully with plenty of power. The suspension is tight and quiet, the brakes and steering work beautifully as well. This rare time piece even sports the original license plates. This lovely Coupe will not disappoint.
