1960 Chevrolet Corvette C1 for sale finished in classic Tuxedo Black with Sateen Silver coves and red interior. Comes equipped with its numbers matching 283 V8, 4-speed manual transmission and rare C1 WCFB dual quad carburetors.

It has been with the same owner over the last 39 years, who believes the 104k miles showing to be close to original (the original speedo cable failed in 2015 and was replaced then). He has added just over 5,000 miles in nearly 4 decades.

The numbers matching 283 cid, OHV V8 starts right up, idles and runs smoothly with plenty of power. The correct C1 WCFB dual quad carburetors are believed to be original to the car and were recently rebuilt and performing wonderfully.

From the bit of homework I've done I believe this to be the 469C option 270 hp engine with solid lifters and the Duntov 097 camshaft mainly because the tach face for the 270 HP engine has a higher redline as this one does at 6,500 RPM. The 4-speed manual transmission shifts nicely. Braking and suspension feel good. Recent service includes new fuel pump, new electronic ignition, oil change.

The exterior shows well. The car was repainted in its original colors in the 1980s and has a nice shine. It is driver-quality and looks nice though is showing its age. The cloth top was replaced at some point and is in good condition.

The factory hardtop was repainted with the car yet is otherwise all original and has been in storage until now. It will need new rubber seals. The chrome, trim and glass are presentable and the car rides on its stock steel wheels with period correct knockoff style hubcaps and an older set of P205/75 R15 BF Goodrich Silvertown whitewall radials.

Inside appears to be mostly original, the owner believes that to be the case. It has some expected sunfade yet otherwise is in overall, nice condition. All features, gauges and accessories in the car are operational except for the clock making it very fun and comfortable to tool around in.
