This is a fantastic 1965 Lincoln Limousine for sale. This rare 1965 Lehman-Peterson Lincoln Continental Limousine was ordered new by Oil Barren Billy Gilman of Travellers Oil Company from the state of Texas. Sold to its second owner, a collecter in Oklahoma in about 1990 and then to it's most current owner in 2006.

In 1965, Lehmann-Peterson built 75 Lincoln Continental Limousines. To create the limousine, a standard Lincoln Continental was cut in half and made longer by the addition of chassis rails, new side panels, new roof panels and a new Landau type roof.

Of the 75 built in 1965, 15 were leased by the United States Government, these classic presidential limousines were used for President Johnson and his cabinet officials. This 1965 Lehmann-Peterson was built specifically for Mr. Gilman. This car has one of the early radio telephone systems. The original phones that were in the car are the two multi-line units mounted in the front and rear in the center areas.

The limousine still has the two 5" Lucas parade lights with alternating "wig-wag" function as well as the two front fender flag holders. Additional features included: front and rear heat and air; power windows; power door locks; intermittent wipers; leather seats and vinyl roof.

The car was repainted the original color about a year ago by the current owner and looks very nice. The original vinyl top is in really nice shape. The interior is very original and shows nicely for this 44 year old, with nicely patina'd front leather seat and new front carpeting. All chrome and interior trim is in nice, well preserved condition.

This was a rare version as it did not have the divider windows that the other cars typically had. The original 430 CI V8 engine, capable of 320 HP runs very nicely with plenty of power.

The car starts; runs, shifts and drives with vintage Lincoln elegance. This Lehmann-Peterson limousine is particularly well cared for. There is no rust on this vehicle. The original trunk lid had multiple holes in it from the original antennas. The most current owner replaced the trunk lid and added magnetic antennas to protect the car yet maintain the original affect.
