Mercedes 280SE Cabriolet W111 for sale in Sonoma California. California car since new, finished in Beige Grey (Beigegrau DB181 H) with black leather and black canvas top with one older repaint.

The finish is glossy and smooth with some expected imperfections that come with age. The interior appears mostly original with a nice patina and that classic Mercedes vintage leather scent.

The wood is in nice condition as well. Recent improvements include new door, window, wind-wing and trunk rubber seals. Much of the chrome window trim and several other pieces were just refinished giving the car a nice, fresh look. The tonneau cover is like new.

Mechanically the car is excellent, starting easily without any smoke or hesitation, its matching numbers inline six engine pulling strongly and smoothly through all of the gears.

It just had the 30K service completed and a host of other items addressed including new air intake boots, new rear muffler and pipes, motor mounts, front main seal, shift link bushings and more. It has been nicely maintained and kept out of the elements. As such, the original undercarriage is solid, free of rust.

The car is an absolute joy to drive, smooth, stable and consistent, ideal for both weekend cruises around town and highway driving. At this time, two of the heater vent knobs need to be replaced and while the odometer works fine, the trip meter does not. This aside, I would not hesitate to take this car on any long distance trip.
