Up for sale is this super rare 1973 Iso Rivolta Fidia Italian luxury performance sedan. Car originated from Southern California where it had recently been painted and was in the process of having a light restoration wrapped up.
Exterior looks good. Glass all clear and nice. Body is very straight and solid and paint looks nice and presentable. Interior also presentable but there are a few details that you as the new owner may want to do to bring to the next level, specifically the headliner.
Also, new rubber was installed at each door but when installed on right rear door it will not close and latch (see pics). Mechanicals are in good working order. The factory installed Ford 5.8 litre V8 is matched with a Ford 'Cruise-O-Matic' automatic gear box. It starts and runs and shifts well. The exhaust is a bit noisy and may need some attention. The cooling system seems to be in working order. Tires are aged.
The weakest link is the wiring which needs to be completely gone thru. Currently the head and tail-lamps are about all that work. At some point someone did a sloppy installation of an MSD electronic ignition. A little bit of attention should really take this rare Iso to a whole new level.
The Iso Rivolta Fidia is an interesting Italian luxury performance car. It is very similar to the Maserati Quattroporte of this era but without the expensive maintenance (thanks to the factory installed Ford drive-train). Showing 88K miles, it is unknown if these are original. This car represents a unique opportunity to do a minor amount of work in exchange for a good bump in value.
